I created this page here to give you some answers to questions I am asked often or to display information regarding my web site and work incase you want more information. If you do not see anything here, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Why do I need to enter a reCAPTCHA to get your email address?
To prevent spam getting into my inbox, I had originally set up a contact form for people to fill in. I soon realized that many mail clients 'grey list' email coming from scripts and it was taking a long time for the form submission to get to me. I implemented Google's emailHide feature to allow people to use thier own email clients to contact me.
Is my code Standards Compliant?
Being standards compliant is very important. Not only does it help with cross browser programming but also helps keep the coding clean and if you ever need a different programmer to work on your code, they can easily jump right in. My full time job stresses that we follow current standards so we are always reading up on new changes. I am also always validating the code that I write with the validation programs created by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). This way you are getting proper and valid code from me. Something I take great pride in.
Do I do graphic design?
I do not do my own graphics, I do not have any design skills. However, I have graphic designers that I work with that do all my artwork. They create the designs for my websites (if needed) and they also do the various graphics that may be found on the website. Working with me on your website gets you access to these designers if they are needed. This is the best way to do things as I can work very closely with the designers to make sure your site is designed properly for the internet. That is a big problem with some designers. They design great sites on paper that just don't fit well for the internet.
What browsers do I test in?
Programming for multiple browsers is very important when making sure your website is ready for all your visitors. There are many different web browsers that people can use and you really can't program for just 1. You need to make sure you cover them all. The problem is that not all browsers follow the same standards so you have to write the code differently for them all. I program and test all the websites and scripts I write in the following browsers;
Internet Explorers 6-7-8-9, Safari, Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome
